Position Description: Casual on-call

Responsibilities:

This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and is a support to all Community and Family Services programs.  Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Driving the Cube Van to pick up donations.
  • Assisting in sorting donations in the warehouse.
  • Assists in keeping the warehouse area safe and clean.
  • Promotes programs offered by Community and Family services such as Seniors Lunch, Friday Breakfast, Chapel and Bible Study, Counseling and Crisis Lines, Various Camps, along with Christmas programs.
  • Assists with Friday Breakfast and Seniors Lunch.


Qualifications:

  • The successful candidate will have completed Grade 12.
  • A valid driver’s license and a clear Drivers Abstract.
  • Minimum one year related experience.
  • Good interpersonal skills to be sensitive to issues of diversity.
  • The ability to learn about and educate others on the Mission and Values of The Salvation Army will make the candidate an asset to our Ministry.
  • Clear Criminal Records Check

NOTE:  An alternate level of education and experience may be acceptable.
