2012 marks the 130th anniversary of The Salvation Army's work in Canada. Every day, people share moving, wonderful stories about their experiences with us and to celebrate this milestone, we would like to compile a commemorative publishing of these memories to share with our friends and supporters, and for future generations to learn and enjoy. The stories we hear are so inspiring, and we know that our friends around the world would like to hear them too.
Stories can be short or long - there's no minimum or maximum.
Tell us something special about The Salvation Army that you experienced, or maybe a story a family member passed on to you - it can be from any part of the world, from any point in time.
Pictures are welcome, either electronically with your e-mail (the higher resolution the better), or a physical picture included with your letter (if you require your picture returned, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope).
Please include the photo credits (or to the best of your knowledge if the picture is older), and as many details about the picture as possible. By sending a picture, permission to publish by The Salvation Army in any format is given.
To submit your story, please send us an e-mail at memories@can.salvationarmy.org or use the form below. Stories can also be mailed to us at the address below:

Please note, stories will be identified by the writer's full name and hometown, if available (example: Submitted by John Smith, Edmonton), unless otherwise directed by the writer. We will try to use as many stories as possible, and the format of the project will be determined by the response we receive (online and/or in print).
The information collected will only be used for the purpose of this project, and any contact we make will be in regards to your submission. By submitting a story and any photos, the writer acknowledges that the story is true to the best of their knowledge and recollection and that they allow The Salvation Army to share and publish, stating photo and story credit if possible, and without recompense. The Salvation Army reserves the right to edit, limit or omit stories as deemed necessary for space.
